Lead is mostly found in water which gets into the water in older homes constructed before 1955. This happens when water is left in pipes for a long period of time. When corrosion happens high levels of lead come off pipes. Leaving water form one home affect other homes. 10 to 20 percent of lead is found in drinking water. Food can also contain small amounts of lead like fruit, vegetables, meats, grain, seafood, soft drinks, wine and cigarettes. Treatment

It is considered normal to have less then 9 (mcg/dl) if there is more then that in the blood then you should decrease exposer to paints,have healthier food, minimize dust with mopping the house and hand washing.

In my opinion lead should not be in any produces made in Canada and other countries as it has vary dangerous effects. Children under the age of 6 are at the most risk so no toys should have lead in them.
