Common uses: it`s most commonly used in sun screens but also many skin care products.

DESCRIPTIONS: ~itis a solid ("Oxybenzone," 2007)

("Drug bank : oxybenzone," )Oxybenzone is a chemical in the family of benzophenones that is used in sunscreens, as well as other skincare products, lip balm, etc. it tendsa to absorb the uv light which causes sunburn and eventually skin cancers.Unfortunately, a study from the CDC suggests that the chemical is actually absorbed into your system, and can stay for long periods of time. The CDC tested up to thousands of blood samples and found traces of benzophenones in 95 percent of them

In sunscreen the soul purpose of oxybenzone is to filter UV rays into heat but when light is turned into heat on your skin it is quite likely to damage you growing cells. (:The toxic danger," 2010)
( Dr. Sugar, 2009)

DANGERS: common side affects: dry or tight skin severe side affects: allergic reaction burning itching swelling rash blisters (:The toxic danger,"2010)

Treatments: Inform your doctor once you get a rash from using a product that contains oxybenzone. It means you are allergic to it and need to get cream.

( Dr. Sugar, 2009) Dont use sunscreeen or other care products that use an Oxybenzone ingredient in them.

OPINION:we believe that you simply replace using sunscreen by wearing light clothing that covers your skin to avoid the damage of your skin cells.

JUSTIFICATION: We found that as much as we can benifit from oxybenzone for the protection of our skin it can also damage your skin. So its the matter of choosing which way to damage your skin: sun burn or damaged skin cells.
